Automatic in its original form is a solid rock song with a nice instrumental track and well sung vocals. The LA Riots took this raw material and injected energy. The vocals are faster with some slight effects added. The guitars seem to hit harder and the whole song gains a grittier edge that was lacking from the original. This is what remixing is about.
